Asynchronous Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) is the next generation technology for Internet, voice, video and data transmission over existing copper telephone lines at ultra high speed.
ADSL uses your ordinary phone line but doesn't tie it up - you can access the Internet while you are actually using your ordinary phone and fax machine.
ADSL provides a permanent Internet connection (no dialing, no busy tones) up to 60 times faster than a standard modem, 40 times faster than 56Kbps modem, 30 times faster than ISDN. That's fast!

The ADSL Uncapped service has been developed mainly for the conservative business user or home user who requires the assurance of an uninterrupted / uncapped and fixed cost ADSL service.
The ADSL Uncapped service is a shaped service that limits the speed of certain types of protocols that causes excessive traffic on the network.
This mechanism has been put in place to discourage abuse of the service and thereby giving the " conservative business user" or home user a more superior service.

What is a Dial-up?
Dial-up access is an inexpensive but relatively slow form of internet access in which the client uses a modem to dial the internet service provider's node, a dialup server type such as the PPP and TCP/IP protocols to establish a modem-to-modem link, which is then routed to the internet. It is now legacy technology in the advent of widely available broadband internet access in the World.

What is ISDN ?
This type of connection is similar to using a telephone line and modem to make a connection to the Internet, but is much quicker, and is able to make a virtually instant connection when required. The speed of access is at 128 kilobits per second (approximately 3 to 4 times the speed of a typical modem connection to the Internet).
